About this policy
Daythread is a planning and focus app developed and operated by an individual developer using the FixMind name. The developer operates the app and handles support and privacy requests in China. This policy explains how Daythread handles your information. Other FixMind products and websites have their own policies. Contact hello.fixmind@outlook.com for privacy questions, requests or complaints.
Your plans on your device
Daythread stores your tasks, dates, steps, notes, repeat rules, reminders, focus sessions and preferences on your iPhone. No FixMind account is required. The app does not upload your plans to FixMind and does not provide cloud sync. It has no advertising or third-party tracking or analytics SDKs. We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising.
Calendar access
Calendar access is optional. If you enable it, iOS asks for calendar permission. Daythread reads the calendars you select, including event titles, times, notes and calendar names, to display events alongside your tasks. It does not create, edit or delete events in your calendars. Selected calendar identifiers are stored locally. A limited local copy of event titles and times is shared with the app's widgets. You can stop showing calendars in Me → Calendars or revoke access in iPhone Settings. Your calendar provider's own sync and storage are separate from Daythread.
Notifications, widgets and Live Activities
Reminders are scheduled locally through iOS, without a FixMind push server. Notifications may show task and step names. Widgets and Live Activities use a local shared copy of task titles, schedule information and the current timer to display your plan on the Home Screen, Lock Screen or Dynamic Island. People with access to those screens may be able to see that information. You can change reminder options in the app and notification previews or Live Activity permissions in iPhone Settings, and remove widgets at any time.
Purchases and Apple services
If you make an available in-app purchase, Apple handles checkout and payment. Daythread uses Apple's StoreKit service to read product information and verified purchase entitlement information. FixMind does not receive your payment card or bank details through the app. Apple may provide crash or performance information through its developer services according to your diagnostic-sharing settings. Apple handles its own service data under Apple's privacy policy.
Exports and device backups
When you export CSV or JSON, the file is created on your device and saved to the location you choose. It may contain personal task names, notes, steps and, for JSON, planning settings and focus records. No export is automatically sent to FixMind. A location such as iCloud Drive or another file provider may upload the file under that provider's settings. iOS device backups may also include app data; this is separate from app cloud sync. Keep exported files and device backups secure.
Support messages
If you choose to email us, we receive your sender address/name, message and any attachments you send. Daythread does not automatically attach your tasks, notes, calendar events or diagnostic reports. We use messages to answer your request, investigate reported problems and handle privacy or legal requests. Where a legal basis is required, responding to your service request is based on performing our contract or taking requested steps; proportionate troubleshooting and security may rely on legitimate interests, and required recordkeeping on legal obligations. Any optional use requiring consent will be requested separately. Do not send passwords, verification codes, full payment details, health records or unnecessary personal information.
Support providers and international processing
Only the developer has access to the support mailbox. Microsoft Outlook provides the email service and may process messages to deliver and store them. Support emails are read and handled in China, including when you contact us from another country. Apple operates its own store and platform services, and Cloudflare delivers our website. These providers may process information in countries other than yours. Your local plans are not routinely transferred to us. You can contact us for information about the providers, locations and safeguards applicable to your request. We disclose information to authorities only where legally required or otherwise lawfully necessary to protect rights and safety; we do not use support messages for advertising.
Retention and your choices
Local planning data remains on your device until you remove it. Deleting a task removes it from the task list; separate saved or completed focus records may remain. Deleting the app, rather than offloading it, removes its local app data subject to iOS storage and backup behavior. Exports, device backups, Apple purchase records and original calendar events are managed separately and are not deleted by removing a task or the app. You can export your plans from Me → About → Export Data. FixMind has no remote copy of your local plans to access, restore or delete. Ordinary support emails and attachments are retained for one year from the date each message is received or sent, then deleted from the mailbox and support copies controlled by the developer. Relevant material may be kept longer only as necessary for an ongoing legal claim or a legal retention obligation. You can request earlier deletion where applicable. Provider-managed recovery copies may follow the provider’s deletion cycle.
Privacy rights
For information we hold, contact hello.fixmind@outlook.com to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability where applicable. You may withdraw consent where processing relies on it, without affecting earlier lawful processing. We ask only for information reasonably needed to verify and fulfil a request and respond within the period required by applicable law. You may complain to your local data-protection authority, and we do not penalise you for exercising your rights.
Younger users and support
If you cannot independently consent to sharing personal information under local law, ask a parent or guardian to contact support on your behalf. Do not send a child’s identity documents, school details or other unnecessary personal information. If we learn that we received a child’s personal information without legally required parental consent, we will stop the relevant processing and delete it as required by applicable law. A parent or guardian may contact us about a child’s information.
Legal documents and website visits
When you open a legal page in Daythread, the app requests the current document from fixmind.net and keeps the bundled copy available if the request fails. This request contains no tasks, notes, calendar events or account identifiers. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes connection information such as the IP address and requested URL to deliver and secure the page. The app reader does not run website analytics or store website cookies. If you open the website in a browser, the website may process basic traffic and performance information as described in the FixMind website privacy policy.
Updates and contact
We rely on iOS app isolation and access controls for local storage. No storage or transmission method is completely secure; protect your device, mailbox, exports and backups. We will revise the date above when this policy changes and give notice of material changes before they apply where required. New processing that requires permission will request it separately. For privacy questions or requests, email hello.fixmind@outlook.com and mention Daythread. Please include only the information needed for your request.
